Croatia vs Spain Live Stream

Spain faces Croatia in a UEFA Nations League final on Sunday, June 18, 2023 (6/18/23) at Stadion Feijenoord in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

After Spain edged out Italy, thanks to a late winner from 33-year-old Joselu in Thursday’s semi-final, Luis de la Fuente’s side will have the chance to win their first major title since triumphing at the 2012 European Championship (Jordi Alba being the sole survivor from that iconic team). The current squad may be lacking in star power but they have impressed by reaching a second straight Nations League final, with Joselu notching no less than three goals in three appearances since making his international debut in March.

In contrast, Croatia have a team that has repeatedly excelled on the international stage. Zlatko Dalic led his side to the runners-up spot at the 2018 World Cup and four years later they finished in third place, with players such as Luka Modric, Ivan Perišić and Andrej Kramarić excelling in both tournaments and still playing a key role for the side. All three started the 4-2 win over Holland in the semi-finals and will be determined to help their country secure a first major title.

Can Croatia’s golden generation finally deliver? Or will a new-look Spain regain their status on the European stage? Find out by watching a Croatia vs Spain live stream, which we’ll show you how to do below.

Spain and Croatia are set to battle it out to become the third winners of the UEFA Nations League.

Portugal won the inaugural edition of the competition against the Netherlands, while France beat Spain in the final last time out. A third champion will be crowned as Croatia take on the 2010 World Cup winners.

Although Croatia are underdogs heading into the final, they grow in confidence the longer the game stays in the balance, especially if it goes to extra time.

Croatia take on Spain in the Nations League final this evening, with a first-time winner of the competition guaranteed.

Spain made it to the final two years ago and took the lead, but goals from Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema saw France come from behind to lift the trophy in Milan.

This is Croatia’s latest attempt to end their wait for a major international title, having finished third at the 2022 World Cup, second in 2018, and now they look to go one better in the Nations League.

Luka Modric shone as Croatia needed extra-time to get past the Netherlands in the semi-finals, while late drama was required for Spain as they edged past Italy thanks to a winner from Joselu.

Spain and Croatia are set to go head-to-head for the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League trophy in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Joselu scored a late winner for Spain as they knocked Italy out in the semifinals, while Croatia defeated the Netherlands in extra time in the final four. Spain have now reached back-to-back Nation League finals.

This is first meeting between the two sides since the round of 16 in the 2020 European Championships, which was played in 2021. Spain won 5-3 after extra time in what was a dramatic fixture.

Amid uncertainty over his own future at Paris Saint-Germain, Kylian Mbappé has hit out at the treatment of Lionel Messi by the club and French soccer in general following the high-profile departure of the Argentina star.

Messi signed for Major League soccer franchise Inter Miami last week after rejecting a contract extension at PSG, bringing to a close a two-year spell with the French team.

Messi’s final months at PSG were marked by jeers from fans as his form dipped after he helped Argentina win the World Cup, and a suspension by the club after an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia.

PSG might also have to find a replacement for Mbappé soon after the 24-year-old told the club he will not take up the option of a 12-month extension on his contract, which expires at the end of next season.

The news immediately saw Mbappé linked with Real Madrid, which has long been after the French superstar and had an offer of 180 million euros ($190 million) rejected in 2021.

Madrid missed out again last year when Mbappé signed a new deal with PSG, but the French club is unlikely to risk him leaving as a free agent next year.

A potential deterrent to a move to Madrid, however, could be the racist abuse suffered by Vinícius Júnior, who is also Black.

While racism is by no means a problem unique to Spanish soccer, Vinícius has voiced strong concern that soccer authorities in the country are doing little to stop the abuse, leading to racism being an accepted part of the game.
